UGC Creator Portfolio Examples & Checklist

When creating your ugc portfolio, it is important to include a variety of content styles and examples in order to showcase your capabilities to potential brands. If you are just starting out it may be intimidating to try to provide that much content at once; however, you can start with the basics and then continue to add more content to your portfolio as you film and grow.
Over time, the content that you make will get better and better – so be sure to keep your portfolio updated with your newest and most enticing content.
The majority of ugc content appears to be short vertical videos for brands to use as TikTok’s, Instagram Reels, Stories, etc. but that doesn’t mean that brands aren’t looking for other forms of content. You can include in your portfolio other content you’d be interested in making for them – photography for their website, long form horizontal videos for YouTube, testimonials, or ads, etc.
UGC Portfolio Examples
You can easily create a ugc portfolio in Canva, on a basic landing page, or a website. If you are looking for a template that you can easily just paste your information and content into, then be sure to check out Etsy. They have tons styles and options that are very affordable. UGC Portfolio Checklist
- Enticing Introduction – When applying to ugc creator jobs or pitching to brands, you want to put your best foot forward. Make sure the first thing that they see is informative, eye-catching, and encourages them to scroll for more.
- Aesthetic – Brands are looking at so many ugc portfolios a day, so feel free to make yours different and stand out. This allows you to showcase your personality a little, the aesthetic you can create for them, the vibe of your content, etc.
- Content – Of course, the most important part of your ugc creator portfolio is your content. It’s important that you not only have captivating and high quality content, but that it is also easy to access. You don’t want all the videos to play at once, the music play too loud, etc. Try to make it as seamless and user-friendly as possible for the viewer.
- Your Contact Information – Make sure it is very clear how to get in contact with you. Let’s say someone sees your portfolio and wants to hire you – what do you want them to do? (contact form, book a call, etc.)
- Prices – Including your pricing on your portfolio is totally optional. Some ugc creators do and others discourage it. If you do decide to include your prices, be sure to offer multiple packages with a range price points that way you aren’t under selling your content.
