Olipop Vs Poppi

Poppi and Olipop are both brands that have a wide range of flavored drinks that they claim are a better alternative to regular soda. Some favorites include Poppi’s cherry limeade and orange flavors, as well as Olipop’s classic choices like vintage cola, strawberry vanilla, and classic root beer. Both brands claim that their formulations help to contribute to overall health and gut well-being.
Poppi:
Product Focus: Poppi is known for their line of prebiotic soda beverages that are designed to be both refreshing and health-conscious by incorporating natural ingredients and prebiotics.
Ingredients: Poppi drinks often contain apple cider vinegar, which is claimed to have various health benefits, including aiding digestion and supporting gut health. They typically use a combination of fruit juices and natural flavors for taste.
Flavor Variety: Poppi offers a range of flavors, such as root beer, orange, strawberry lemon, and more. The flavors are designed to appeal to consumers seeking a soda alternative with added health benefits.
Health Claims: Poppi positions their branding as a healthier alternative to traditional sodas, emphasizing its use of natural ingredients and the potential health benefits associated with apple cider vinegar and prebiotics.
Olipop:
Product Focus: Olipop is known for its line of sparkling tonics that are designed to support digestive health. These drinks are made with a mix of botanicals, plant fibers, and prebiotics.
Ingredients: Olipop beverages are often formulated with a variety of natural ingredients, including plant-based fibers like chicory root, cassava root, and kudzu root. They also incorporate natural flavors for taste.
Flavor Variety: Olipop offers a range of unique flavors, such as strawberry vanilla, ginger lemon, classic root beer, and more. The flavors are often a blend of botanicals and fruits.
Health Claims: Similar to Poppi, Olipop positions itself as a healthier alternative to traditional sodas. It emphasizes its use of functional ingredients, like prebiotics and plant fibers, that are intended to support gut health and overall well-being.
All these flavors maintain a low sugar content, ranging from 2 to 5 grams, which is way less than the 30-40+ grams that can typically be found in other soda brands. Both of these brands offer a choice of different functional prebiotics and share a common health-oriented goal. Poppi is known for incorporating apple cider vinegar, recognized as a prebiotic known as pectin. Poppi’s use of apple cider vinegar introduces additional benefits, such as potential blood sugar level reduction, heartburn prevention, and antioxidant richness.
In contrast, Olipop has more of a diverse blend of prebiotics, such as cassava root, chicory root, artichoke, nopal cactus, calendula flower, and kudzu root. Olipop typically includes 9g of dietary fiber and only 2-5g of sugar. They don’t include high fructose corn syrup or any artificial colors or flavors.
When choosing between Poppi and Olipop, of course personal taste preference is going to play a large roll. You may find that you like flavors and ingredients from both. Poppy has its distinctive apple cider vinegar component that offers unique health benefits. On the other hand, Olipop ingredients include other prebiotics, that may be more of what you’re looking for in your soda.
